Once in a while, you read a fantasy book so engrossing, so enthralling, so captivating, that it restores your faith in the genre. Funke's book Reckless did that for me. After reading a TON of lackluster books (many DNF) labeled YA fantasy, this book lived up to the label. Loved the characters, loved the world, loved the story. Couldn't put it down, and I have two toddlers to run around after!I'm not a huge fan of open endings, but this book made me one. A must buy for me. Definitely my favorite by Funke thus far. Not sure why it was categorized as Juvenile Fiction, though.
