There is a reason we read books. We seek the lives of others. We want to soak up their tragedies, their loves, their happiness, and the journey they take to reach all these things.Jellicoe Road is a perfect example of a book that will— if you let it— immerse you in someone else's world. In this case, it is Taylor's world. Without going into too much detail, I loved every moment of this story. There are very few books in the world that I want to swallow gulp by delicious gulp, without feeling impatient to GET TO THE END. This book, however, was a joy to read and when I got to the end, I was so heartbroken that it was over. If I was Marchetta, I would have been terrified to write another book after this, because how could ANY OF THEM EVERY BE AS GOOD???If you can take the pain and heartache of a very human character, make the time for this book. It is worth the read.
